Foundation Board
The Foundation Board is responsible for the overall management of the Foundation. He is in charge of its overall strategy and supervises its day-to-day implementation. He is particularly involved in the identification, selection and evaluation of PVSYST Foundation projects.
Floriane Mermoud
President - A specialist in building energy, she has spent most of her career in teaching and research, and more recently supporting industrial companies in their energy management. It aims to use its skills to carry out exemplary projects in developing countries.
André Mermoud
Founder, member - André Mermoud holds a doctorate in particle physics, and studied energy systems (solar, building heating, photovoltaics) at the University of Geneva. There, he developed the PVsyst software for the study and simulation of photovoltaic systems, and now heads the PVsyst SA company for its development and distribution. He is also the initiator of the PVSYST Foundation.
Séverine Mermoud
Member - Specialized in communication, she is in charge of customer service, communication, part of the administrative management and participates in decisions concerning the direction of PVsyst's activities. She is in charge of the Foundation's administration and accounting, and also participates in project management decision-making.
Michel Villoz
Member - An electrical engineer from the EPFL, he has been working in the solar industry since 1980, providing consultancy support, expertise in photovoltaic engineering and training in the optimization of grid-connected PV systems and calculations of stand-alone photovoltaic systems.
Jose Daniel Cabrera Santelices
Member - A physicist by training, he specializes in energy efficiency and renewable energies. He has worked on these themes in Latin America, the United States and Switzerland. He wishes to contribute to the Foundation's projects with his expertise in the sustainable development of clean technologies in emerging countries.
Hanns P. Polak
Member - A sociologist specializing in the application of renewable energies and their use for sustainable human development, he works as an independent consultant in the field of sustainable development, humanitarian aid and early recovery.
Olivier Munos
Member - An agro-economist by training, he has fifteen years' field experience in Africa, Central Asia and South-East Asia in consulting, project management and country/multi-country management roles. Previously a project manager for the Foundation, he is currently a landowner and farmer in the Lyon region.
Activity management
Mehdi Iken
Project Manager - Trained in Political Science and Social and Solidarity Economy, his fifteen years' experience in the field has taken him to Central Asia, Latin America, Africa and France. He has held positions as a French language teacher, humanitarian and development project manager, and regional/national manager. He has also carried out consultancy work for NGOs and public institutions.
