<bWhat is the link between the PVsyst Company and the PVSYST Foundation?

The PVsyst Foundation and Enterprise are initiatives of André Mermoud. These two structures operate strictly independently from each other. The foundation may, if necessary, request the support of the PVsyst professional team but does not in any way favour the use or recourse to the PVsyst software.

What does PVSYST mean?

The acronym PVSYST stands for Photovoltaic (PV) System (SYST).

Does the PVSYST Foundation limit its interventions to Photovoltaic Solar?

The PVSYST Foundation intends to intervene primarily on the themes of water, hygiene and sanitation, economic development, energy and education which may or may not induce a photovoltaic solar component. Depending on the nature of the actions to be carried out, the use of photovoltaic technologies will be encouraged but this is not a condition for the engagement of the PVSYST Foundation.

How is the PVSYST Foundation funded?

The initial funding was provided by founder André Mermoud and the company PVsyst. Additional financing of the latter could be considered in order to strengthen its own funds and increase the effectiveness of its activities. At the same time, the PVSYST Foundation does not rule out requesting additional funding from institutional or private partners.

Is it possible to participate in the actions or cooperate with the PVSYST Foundation?

The PVSYST Foundation is still in the initial phase of its development. Foundation projects and the approaches are still refined as the foundation has just realised first interventions in the field. However, as cooperation is a strong value for the Foundation, it remains open to dialogue, so do not hesitate to contact us or request us by e-mail at contact [a] fondation-pvsyst.org.

Is it possible to benefit from funding from the Foundation?

The PVSYST Foundation does not intend to limit its action to funding to third parties in charge of implementing interventions. In this sense, it does not act as a simple donor and wishes to be an operator and partner in the implementation of the supported projects.
